The ad targeting technology provider Lotame (www.lotame.com) claims that its profiling technology now reaches over 52 million U.S. uses of mid-tail social network sites, an audience larger than Facebook. Lotame helps publishers of social networks profile users based on their interests as well as their levels of social activity. Publishers and advertisers then can build customized targets. Hufflington Post and Flixster are among the partners using Lotame, which is expanding from its Maryland base into New York and other sales offices.
