Quebecor World, the printing giant currently under creditor protection after filing for bankruptcy in both the US and Canada in January, has received an extension from the Superior Court of Quebec. The company’s temporary bankruptcy filing under Canada’s Companies Creditor Arrangement Act (CCAA) has been extended through May 12.
The First Stay Extension Order allows Quebecor World to hold its annual shareholder’s meeting at any point within three months of the ultimate termination date, rather that before June 30. The company has also requested an extension to its US Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
