On Thursday March 13, Rodale announced the promotions of Ronan Gardiner and Laura Frerer-Schmidt, who will now respectively serve as vice president and publisher of Men’s and Women’s Health.

Gardiner has been publisher at Men’s Health since 2011, where he has played a key role in integrating its current digital strategy. Last year was a big one for the brand—it increased ad page output by 25% year-over-year. Gardiner has been with the company since 2005, when he joined as advertising director. Before that, he was at Wenner Media, serving as advertising director at Men’s Journal.

Frerer-Schmidt has also been her brand’s publisher since 2011. From there things have been good, to say the least. Women’s Health has increased ad revenue by 35% and digital revenue has increased 21% compared with 2012. The brand also had the competitive edge in advertising (within its category), according to PIB, with ad page growth up 32% year-over-year. She was also named min’s Publisher of the Year in 2013. Before joining Rodale she was with Condé Nast for 12 years and worked on several brands including SELF, Vogue and Vanity Fair.
