BIOGRAPHYJim Berra
Prior to Rodale, Berra is recognized for having helped create and lead Starwood's award-winning customer loyalty program, Starwood Preferred Guest. Most recently he served as Senior Vice President, Customer Marketing, overseeing Starwood's loyalty practice, customer data, CRM applications; and managing the Strategic Alliance Marketing Group, where he oversaw marketing partnerships, licensing relationships and sponsorships. Berra garnered numerous accolades for his work, including being named to the Top 25 Marketers in Travel by HSMAI, receiving the 2002 Industry Impact Award from InsideFlyer Magazine, and named to BrandWeek's 2002 list of Next Generation Marketers. Prior to that, Berra worked in various executive roles at Starwood, serving as Vice President, Loyalty Marketing; Vice President, Loyalty Communication & Planning; and Director of Member Communications. Before joining Starwood, Berra worked for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts since 1995, most recently serving as Manager, National Advertising. He received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Philosophy from Northwestern University. |
