A veteran media marketer and technology watcher, Derek has actively participated in the IT community for nearly three decades. His career travels have launched and influenced the audiences and agendas across a wide portfolio of content-rich conferences including Computerworld's Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference, Green IT Symposium, SaaScon and Business Intelligence Perspectives Conference. In addition, he participated in the 1999 launch and ongoing management of Storage Networking World, co-owned by Computerworld and the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), and helped launch and grow Computerworld's market-leading IT Management Summit series held more than 100 times across major U.S. cities. To do all of this, Derek naturally stays close to the nation's community of CIOs and senior technology management. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire, and an MBA from Bentley University.
