Keith Weed has been with Unilever since1983 and was named chief marketing and communications officer this past spring. With the promotion came a seat at the table with the executive board—the first time the CMO has been included. Just a few short months into his tenure, Unilver renewed a three-year partnership with Time Warner Inc.

The deal spans Time Warner’s television, magazine and Internet units. This partnership included the launch of TIME’s iPad app—a notable harbinger of big things to come from the partnership. ● —RD
