As SVP of e-commerce and registry for The Knot since 2005, Kristin Savilia has seen the site become the go-to resource for newlyweds. She attributes her success to her willingness to be creative when it comes to growing sales. She has more than doubled revenues for the bridal planning company with initiatives that include Gift Registry 360, in which brides can register at any store, online or off. “I do not settle for the norm but rather look for the bext big thing—or think of it myself,” she says. What differentiates her from her peers? “I am in a company that allows me to be an entrepreneur in my business lines,” she says. “I am able to initiate new, untried ideas that have the potential to—and generally do—change the ways people shop.”
