This year she pressed the magazine industry to offer better models of accountability and measurement that extend beyond circulation. Her most notable campaign in 2009: the partnership between Avon and Seventeen magazine to sponsor “Seventeen U,” an effort to raise awareness for college students about becoming Avon reps. Not only did this effort succeed in driving many college students to sign up as reps but other initiatives aimed at the 18-34 demo, which included a 30-minute infomercial and a commercial that ran during the Super Bowl, were high points.
