2011 IMA Awards: Multiple Magazine Titles

 

Fortune, Money and CNNMoney.com - Time Inc.: Visionaries


Time Inc. created a campaign that was, as they say, right on the money for Infiniti to tout its new M and QX models–and its message of inspiration. The Visionaries series featured unique success stories of business leaders and financial luminaries that were published in Fortune and Money magazines, and in video form on sister Web site CNNMoney.com.

“Readers loved having a consistent place where they could go in the magazines and online to read about cool, interesting people,” says Brad Young, Fortune executive director of marketing. “The editors loved doing the stories. And our research showed that it worked very well for Infiniti as well.”

Because the three media outlets share staff, resources and editorial vision, communication and messaging were consistent across the magazines and the Internet. The campaign yielded Infiniti a 100% increase in message association, 33% increase in purchase consideration and 31% increase in total ad awareness. Now that’s inspiring.

Fast Fact: 2010 Visionaries included Nobel Economics Laureate Joseph Stiglitz, author and University of Chicago economist Steven Levitt and market scholar Roger Ibbotson.
