Never has the phrase "Get a Life!" meant so much. Impossible to imitate. Never duplicated. And probably the only one here that would be a bore on any digital dirge.

Bring back Domino magazine! Innovative ideas for the home that weren't overly expensive- I still keep my back issues.

Domino, for sure, but I also think House & Garden was a great shelter title.

Verklempt, is how I feel walking into the newsstand knowing that Metropolitan Home won't be there. In the Kubler-Ross grief cycle I'm at "bargaining"; so someone out there, how about just plugging this thing in again as a web site? Please....

You've got the timing of The Industry Standard wrong. I think it was founded around 96 or 97. By 99, it was going strong.

I kept all my 1986-89 copies of Spy; more than twenty years on, the sheer volume of ideas and creativity is astounding. Perhaps even more than most defunct magazines, though, Spy had a time and place -- it withered and died for a reason, and a revival would likely just be sad.

I miss Spy's social commentary. It made me laugh.

Domino was beautiful and truly useful, full of great ideas and information. I saved every copy and still consult them regularly. Amateurs, professional decorators, everyone loved it. Such a shame it's gone.

Right you are Jason about the timing of the Industry Standard. It's premiere issue was in April 27, 1998. ID ran strongly as a weekly during the dotcom craze until its collapse in 2001. We changed the chart. Thanks

No other magazine fills the void left by Domino. Ditto for Mirabella, American Film, Gourmet. And the re-vamped More and Bon Appetit are terrible ~ I wish publishers and editors would not break what doesn't need their idea of fixing.

My Domino Magazines are like gold. If there was a fire in my house they would be the only material things I would have to grab! It was filled with timeless design and insight. The editors were excellect! Bring it back!!
