PGOA Media Names Andrew Becks New VP, Audience Development
PGOA Media has appointed Andrew Becks to the newly-created position of vice president of audience development. This hire is a significant one, given PGOA’s partnership granting printing rights to its American Profile, Relish, Spry, Money Living and Daily Parent brands to Athlon Sports Communications last week.
PGOA Media retained the digital properties of the three brands—Americanprofile.com, Relish.com and Spryliving.com—as well as its other Web properties, Moneyliving.com, Dailyparent.com, PGOA Studios, the Relish Daily Dish mobile app and the Relish tablet edition. As PGOA Media CEO John Cobb III told min, "Athlon is print-centric with Athlon Sports and the many special-interest publications…We, on the other hand, can now focus 100% on our digital properties."
Thus, it is no surprise that Becks, who begins his position immediately, brings a wealth of digitally-centric experience to the table. Prior to joining PGOA Media, Becks was director of audience development at Scripps Network, where he was responsible for developing customer acquisition and engagement strategies for Food.com, CookingChannelTV.com as well as FoodNetwork.com. He also co-founded 84 & 85, a digital marketing and technology consulting firm.
