Spencer Beck Named Los Angeles Confidential Editor-in-Chief

The 65,000-circulation Los Angeles Confidential--that city's representative in Niche Media's upscale group of metro/regional magazines (Gotham, Capitol File, Michigan Avenue, etc.)--has a new editor-in-chief in Spencer Beck. He knows Hollywood and the celebrity beat in writing the Hollywood Lovers, Hollywood Weddings, Hollywood Drag, Hollywood Kids, etc., series, and he is also the author of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis biography Uncommon Grace.

Beck is a past Modern Luxury Media editorial director (2003-2011) and Los Angeles magazine editor-in-chief (1997-2000). He has contributed to Vanity Fair and W.

Beck's hire was announced on June 8 by Niche Media editorial director (since April 2011) Mandi Norwood (ex-Mademoiselle, Shop, Etc., editor-in-chief) in her selecting a successor to Sari Tuschman.
