O’Hara Leaves TVGuide.com

After eight years at TVGuide.com and the TVGuide Network, president Ryan O’Hara has stepped down to pursue a new venture that will be announced this week. He has been president of the network and popular online property since 2005 and is credited with the brands’ growth both on-air and online.

During his tenure, O’Hara helped expand the reach of the cable network to more than 80 million homes and acquire programming like Ugly Betty and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Online, the TVGuide.com property has expanded from 5 million to 21 million unique users. O’Hara helped the site develop its TVGuide Broadband slate of online-only programming.

TVGuide Network owner Lionsgate and One Equity Partners said the company will rely on its current management team, including CEO Jon Feltheimer, board chairman Allen Shapiro and Diane Robina, EVP of development, acquisition and programming strategy.

A little over a year ago, previous owner Macrovision sold the TVGuide Network/TVGuide.com assets to Lionsgate/One Equity.
