MIN FEATURE PERSON
Mochila President Carolyn Bekkedahl Is Seeking A Distribution Director Pending hire is evidence of the further growth of New York-based Mochila, which provides print and electronic content to such media outlets as U.S. News & World Report, Working Mother, and Arthur Frommer’s Budget Travel. Distribution director’s job will be to build and work with Mochila’s clients in a somewhat similar manner to Parade and USA Weekend with newspapers, and Bekkedahl tells min that she has just begun interviewing. Hire will follow that of editorial director Lisa Granatstein (ex- Mediaweek) last February and vp/sales Mary Jo Romeo (ex- Parents / Working Mother) last October. Not a candidate: Bekkedahl’s sister MaryAnn Bekkedahl, who ended a nearly five-year stint as Rodale group publisher and 17 years with the company in December. “MaryAnn has an active digital business consultancy,” says Carolyn. “We are not a client, which we both believe is how it should be.” COMMENTS
