Points Comes To Parents, Levy Replaces Her At Self

Dana Points has been named EIC of Parents magazine. Points will report to Sally Lee, former EIC of Parents, who is now SVP, New York editorial director; and EIC of Meredith-owned Ladies’ Home Journal.

Points has worked as an editor specializing in women’s health and well-being for more than 15 years. She was named executive editor of Self in August 1999 after joining the magazine as deputy editor in May of the same year.

Replacing Points at Self is Carla Levy, who has been promoted to executive editor. Most recently, as Self’s Nutrition & Diet Director (since January 2005) Levy oversaw all recipe, food and weight management features and news, including serving as a key editor on Self Dishes. In October 2005, she authored an article entitled “Science On Your Side” that appeared in Self’s 2005 Breast Cancer Handbook which received an ASME National Magazine Award nomination.

Ms. Levy has worked at Family Circle, Ladies’ Home Journal, Glamour and Fitness.
