Schlesinger Takes Up New Post at U.S. News

U.S. News & World Report’s resident blogging guru Robert Schlesinger has filled its newly-created deputy editor, opinion slot. Overseeing the opinion section’s online and print editorial content, Schlesinger will attempt to attract freelance op-ed content from writers and bloggers nationwide while also contributing his own daily blog postings.

Schlesinger, whose work has appeared in Salon.com, Economist.com, and The New York Times Magazine joined U.S. News as a freelance writer and blogger himself.
