Tribune Names New Chief Operating Officer

Randy Michaels has been named chief operating officer at Tribune Company. At his new post, he will be responsible for overseeing the company’s publishing, broadcasting and interactive departments.

Previously, Michaels had been executive vice president and chief executive officer of Tribune’s interactive and broadcasting divisions, a position he took following the company’s privatization in 2007.
