Scott Pierce Named VP/Group Publisher for ALM Magazines

Tuesday, January 11, 2011 Scott Pierce has been appointed VP/group publisher for American Lawyer Media's (ALM’s) magazine division. The veteran of Nielsen, Advanstar, Reed Elsevier and Hearst is being promoted from his previous position as president/digital product development for the company, which publishes legal news and data services. He will oversee such magazines as American Lawyer, Corporate Counsel and Law Technology News.

Before coming to ALM, Pierce ran his own consulting firm after serving as SVP of Nielsen’s Travel Network. In addition to posts with other major magazine publishers, he was also with The American Hotel & Lodging Association. Pierce will report to ALM SVP Kevin Vermulen.
