Former Hanley Wood President Lands at Atlantic MediaWednesday, February 23, 2011 Late last year in a surprise move, Hanley Wood president Peter Goldstone was restructured out of the leading construction industry publisher. But this week Goldstone lands in a new presidential office, leading the Government Executive Media Group at Atlantic Media, the publisher of Government Executive. Goldstone will oversee the group’s b2b products, which claims to have had its most profitable year in 2010. Current general manager Tim Hartman has been leading the group to a 40% growth in digital traffic as well. In addition to the publication and Web site, the Government Executive Group also holds regular events for the industry. Goldstone spent a decade at Hanley Wood, where he led the Business Media Division and in recent years ascended to the president’s role. In restructuring the company late last year, Hanley Wood eliminated the post of president and Goldstone with it. He has also served at Cowles Media and Primedia Intertec.
