Also honored at the event were the 2010 Sweet 16, leading media buyers and brand marketers who champion magazines. Together with the IMA winners on the media side, they testified to the seemingly endless possibilities of brand and content integration. At the event, IMA recipients were asked to list the buzzwords that keep coming up in client meetings. Accepting an award for Condé Nast’s BMW Gran Turismo campaign (Most Creative Use of New Technology), Michal Shapira, executive director of creative services and CND Studio, mentioned “social, mobile, iPad apps”; these words and phrases express Condé Nast’s mission to “bring technology to the forefront.” Jennifer Evans, associate publisher of marketing for Bonnier's Parenting Group (IMA winner for Total Integrated Program), said the top buzzwords were “customization, targetability and measurable results.” The rapid integration of new technology into marketing programs was a recurrent theme at the breakfast event. “After never hearing about a widget three years ago, now we’re winning an award for one,” said Bonnier’s Outdoor Group publisher Eric Zinczenko, who accepted awards for a widget developed for Gore-Tex Gear (Retail/Merchandising Tie-In) and for Outdoor Life’s Live Hunt (Online Event). “It’s gratifying living the principle of being more than a magazine,” he said. Joining min’s Regina D’Alesio and Steve Cohn on the podium were co-presenters Todd Krizelman, co-founder and CEO of MagazineRadar, Ginger Taylor-White, SVP/group account director at Carat, and Domenic Venuto, global managing director of media solutions at VivaKi.
