Tracey Altman Out as Reader's Digest Publisher
Friday, December 11, 2009

"I was laid off," Tracey Altman tells min, as on Dec. 9 she became the latest casualty in the Reader's Digest Association restructuring. The company is scheduled to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Jan. 15. Altman's boss, RDA Community president Eva Dillon, will assume her responsibilities. Altman has retained a lawyer to deal with severance.

Altman joined Reader's Digest in Sept. 2008 after a six-year stint as American Profile-flagshipped Publishing Group of America group publisher that min (Sept. 22, 2008) called "stellar." She was also inducted this year into min's Sales Executive Hall of Fame.
