Playboy Offers Readers ‘Golden Ticket’ to Mansion Party
Monday, November 15, 2010
Recalling the Willy Wonka contest that awarded select customers a tour of his mysterious chocolate factory, Hugh Hefner is offering 10 lucky Playboy readers the opportunity to find a "golden ticket" in the magazine to attend the famed Midsummer Night’s Dream Party at the Los Angeles Mansion.
Forty years after moving into the house, Hef is opening the doors to readers...well, 10 of them. The winning tickets will be hidden in randomly selected newsstand copies of the December issue, which went on sale Friday, Nov. 12.
Finders of the lucky tickets will get a VIP pass for two to the Midsummer Night’s Dream Party in August 2011. While winners will not stay at the Mansion proper, they will get accommodations for two nights at Petit Ermitage in LA and dinner at Simon LA. Each winner gets a attend.
Playboy.com is tracking where in the U.S. winners are located. No tickets had been claimed as of this weekend (Nov. 13-14), but the Web site is keeping readers updated as to how many tickets have been claimed and where.
The Midsummer Night’s Dream Party is hosted by Hef and includes a bevy of Playmates and other lingerie-clad women on the Mansion grounds. This is the first time that Playboy has awarded access to one of its exclusive parties to readers.
