In the July 29 digital-focused issues of min and min's b2b, which feature our monthly Digital Media Boxscores, we present our regular Twitter Account Snapshots, ranking magazine Twitter accounts by number of followers. Below are snapshots of the snapshots—the top 5 consumer and b2b magazine Twitter accounts. For the complete top 10 lists and analysis, see this week’s editions of min and min's b2b.

"Iran" and "iranelection" were the top two Tweeted topics for most of last week--until TLC's Jon & Kate gave it a light shove, then news of Michael Jackson's passing taking over the dialogue on June 25. Not long after, People was reflecting (What was your favorite Michael Jackson look?), Slate was Tweeting retrospective slideshows and Us Weekly was quelling our concerns (Kids doing fine, with grandmother).


Nearing the top of the b2b heap is Crain's Ad Age, which has benefited from a more personal approach to the service. “We accepted the idea that this would be more like a feed, and also tried to let our followers and readers know about our individual accounts—many of us have them—so that those that prefer a more personal interaction can have one,” says Ad Age editor Jonah Bloom.
