Twitter Top 5 for Mag Brands: Time Inc. Takes the Lead As we compile our monthly twitter watch at min, some brands are seeing 150,000 or more new followers in the blazing hot and rainy month of August. Four of the top five (see chart below) are Time Inc. sites, and for a good reason: “We have a great corporate relationship,” says Health.com editor-in-chief Amy O’Connor. The main “passing in the hall” grassroots Twitter strategy is to have more publications tweet to each other, creating conversations with the users and passing links to theirs and sister pubs’ Web sites, as readers tweet and retweet their friends so their followers grow and grow.
