Joe Lagani Named Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Chief Revenue OfficerTuesday, November 8, 2011 Joe Lagani, a longtime magazine executive who had a successful second career on the digital side, was hired this morning to the new position of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia chief revenue officer. He takes charge of print and digital ad sales at the Martha Stewart Living flagship, along with Everyday Food, Martha Stewart Weddings, Whole Living and other MSLO platforms (including television). Lagani reports to MSLO president/COO (since May 2011) Lisa Gersh, who tells min that corporate executive VP/group publisher (promoted in Oct. 2010) Sally Preston has left the company. From 1988-2004, Lagani was a top executive at Meredith Corp. in rising to publishing director of Country Home, Traditional Home and American Baby. He then went to Condé Nast as House and Garden VP/publisher, and his leaving in Oct. 2007 for Glam Media VP/brand sales (also general manager) was surprising at the time because digital advertising was so new. Lagani's Glam Media success led to his Sept. 2009 hire as iVillage senior VP/ad sales, where his realm expanded to television. (iVillage is the women's lifestyle component of the Comcast-owned NBC Universal.) Lagani is the husband of Cosmopolitan publishing director (since August 1995) Donna Kalajian Lagani and the older brother of Reader's Digest Association North America president Dan Lagani (promoted in June 2011).
