Jeff Tkach Promoted to Organic Gardening PublisherTuesday, February 7, 2012 Jeff Tkach, who has run Organic Gardening's day-to-day business activities since becoming associate publisher in 2009, became the Rodale Inc. bimonthly's first dedicated publisher in recent memory with his promotion on Feb. 6.  Tkach continues to report to Rodale senior VP/publishing director Chris Lambiase.OG, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, is the Rodale flagship, and Lambiase credits Tkach for orchestrating a "strategic branding shift to incorporate [relevant] food and lifestyle topics" that has been successful on the print and digital sides. "Thanks to his keen eye for brand development, Jeff is supporting more than the bottom line," says Lambiase. "He is crafting a new breed of magazine that engages ad partners and their audiences beyond the printed pages....Jeff embodies the [healthy, active lifestyle and] spirit we value at Rodale, and he uses the passion to cultivate true partnerships with advertisers. Tkach, who is based in Rodale's Emmaus, Pa., corporate headquarters, has been with Rodale since 2001 started at OG in 2006 as an account manager.
