J.P. Anderson Named Michigan Avenue Editor-in-ChiefTuesday, June 26, 2012 Effective July 9, J.P. Anderson will move intra-Chicago to become the second editor-in-chief of Niche Media's Michigan Avenue. It, like the other Niche metro/regional titles, (Boston Common, Capital File, Gotham, Hamptons, Los Angeles Confidential, etc.), is very upscale.Anderson is presently Where Chicago editor and senior editorial director of Morris Visitor Publications. His Michigan Avenue predecessor (since 2008) Susanna Negovan also moved intra--Chicago to rejoin Sun-Times Media to develop and oversee new media projects. Anderson is reuniting with Michigan Avenue president/publisher Dan Uslan (they were colleagues at Where International),who praised him for being "a strategic thinker, an insightful writer....I’ve always admired his ethical approach to journalism." He is the second Niche Media editor-in-chief hire this month, following Spencer Beck (ex-Modern Luxury Media) at Los Angeles Confidential.
