Garnock Named Harper's Bazaar Associate Publisher  seven-year collaboration with Salembier in June to become publisher of HB rival Elle.Garnock is fashion-savvy, having been responsible for HB's core category and others in the luxury sector at the NYT. Plus, he is skilled in developing integrated marketing programs. All of which impressed Salembier, who predicts that he "will be a huge asset to our magazine." Salembier, too, worked at the NYT, but her mid-1990s stint there did not intersect with Garnock, who joined the newspaper in 1997.
