Ebony to Host Education Roundtable The discussions will continue in a live program on MSNBC on Aug. 15 from noon to 2 p.m. (ET) hosted by Hall along with actor Hill Harper. A live webcast of the event will be available on Aug. 11 at the Ebony.com site, along with discussion opportunities at the magazine’s Facebook page and Twitter feed. The Ebony Education Roundtable is designed to share best practices in making public schools more competitive through innovative practices. The Aug. 11 panelists will include Russlynn Ali, Asst. Secretary for the Office of Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Education; Shayne Evans, director, University of Chicago Charter Schools; Paul Goren, executive director of the Consortium on Chicago School Research; Rone Huberman, CEO, Chicago Public Schools; Tom King, president and CEO of Urban Prep Charter Academy for Young Men; and Julianne Malveaux, president of Bennett College.
