Condé Nast Opens ‘Ideactive’ Marketing Services UnitMonday, May 23, 2011 As marketing budgets continue to diffuse and diversify away from pure media buying, publishers are racing to recapture those fleeing dollars with a wider range of products and service. Following consumer publishers such as Meredith and b2b media companies such as IDG, Condé Nast formally launches its marketing services division today under the Condé Nast Ideactive moniker. Offering itself up to clients as a brand and marketing strategies consultant, Ideactive will be a division within the Condé Nast Media Group but will focus on custom content, social media, experiential executions, apps, data analytics, research and public relations. Janine Silvera will be VP of Ideactive and report directly to Louis Cona, CMO. She joined the Media Group in 2009 as senior executive director, Integrated Marketing, but also had posts at The New Yorker and Vanity Fair. The division will have six dedicated staff. In a statement this morning (May 23), Cona said “The Media Group has evolved over the last two years to where advertisers and agencies look to us for our expertise and guidance as brand consultants and partners in the marketplace. We work hand in hand with them as trusted allies in the ideation, creation and execution of their marketing strategies.” The Media Group is also comprised of the Condé Nast sales teams, Integrated Marketing, Marketing and Strategic Planning and The Studio, which has been helping brand partners execute innovative ad creative.
