Barrett and Goeres To Oversee Women’s/Men’s Nets at Hearst Digital MediaThursday, July 19, 2012 It was chair shuffling day at Hearst Digital Media yesterday when the company made a series of appointments and promotions. Chief among the new posts is The former CEO of Bookish and a consultant Hearst Paulo Lemgruber has been taken on full time as vp of business development and strategy. She will be identifying and executing key digital partnership between Hearst Digital Media and others in the ecosystem. Rodale veteran Eric Goeres has become general manager for the Men’s Network, which includes CarandDrvier.com, Esquire.com, PopularMechanics.com and RoadandTrack.com. At Rodale, Goeres was executive director of creative development on the Men’s Health and Women’s Health titles. Barrett, Goeres and Lemgruber will report to Grant Whitmore, vp, digital, Hearst Magazines. In the increasingly important category of e-commerce, the former global director of e-commerce at Oberon Health, Zachary Abbell, has been appointed director of e-commerce. He will report to Lemgruber. Whitmore says in a statement that the new hires are designed to execute Hearst Digital Media’s recent restructuring around categories of content and initiatives to monetize content outside of traditional advertising. “We are bringing on new talent to help us redefine the way visitors interact with out multiplatform brands,” he says.
