WSJ. Launch Shows Sarah Palin on the Run
Wednesday, September 3, 2008

Debut of the Tina Gaudoin-edited WSJ. will be in this Saturday's (September 6) Wall Street Journal (800,000 of the newspaper's 2 million U.S. circulation will receive it). Highlight, as it turns out, is a profile of GOP vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin working out--when she was "merely" the governor of Alaska. "I have been fascinated by her," says Gaudoin, "so we went ahead." John McCain's choosing Palin (not mentioned in the article) is added value, and it will be interesting to see if WSJ. gets some media play tonight in advance of Palin's acceptance speech.

WSJ. debut carries 51 ad pages (104-page folio, with covers). Issue #2 will be released December 7, with a monthly schedule to start in mid-2009.
