Texas-based monthly Envy magazine, which currently serves the Dallas and Houston markets, has now launched in Austin as well. In the coming months the publication plans to expand into San Antonio, as well as outside of the state in the next year. Envy is essentially a lifestyle and culture magazine, but the content is designed speficically for Texans.

Envy has an interesting platform: Prior to the most recent issue, Envy had 2 separate publications in Houston and Dallas with content directed specifially to each city. Now Envy has combined Houston and Dallas with each individual city's content color coded in the back section of the publication. The same thing will happen with the launch in Austin in September (adding another Austin local information section) as well as San Antonio and other future cities to which Envy plans on expanding.

Additionally, Envy has hired a new executive staff, including Gregg Falberg, CEO; Eric Falberg, publisher and Paul Salfen, editor-in-chief.
