NYTs Columnist Digs Through National Enquirer's Trash

David Carr used his most recent New York Times column to flush out the National Enquirer's chaotic recent history and credibility as a legitimate investigative publication. As Carr points out, the American Media-owned tabloid still makes plenty of journalistic leaps and gets many a story wrong, but since putting John Edwards' affair into the spotlight, much has been said about the validity of the publication and idea of a tabloid breaking a major political scandal.
