Playboy Adds New SVP, Digital Media
Tuesday, August 5, 2008

Playboy Enterprises, Inc. has hired Jimmy Jellinek as division SVP of digital content, digital media. Jellinek will lead the digital team and direct content efforts for Playboy’s online, mobile, and international digital businesses.

Most recently, Jellinek was VP, entertainment and programming, for Heavy.com where he oversaw all original content and programming and managed the site’s programmers, production, and content creators.

Jellinek left Maxim last October following the acquisition by the Kent Brownridge-led Quadrangle Partners. James Kaminsky, a past Playboy editor (2002-2004), succeeded him. Jellinek is the past editor-in-chief of Stuff and Maxim (both under Felix Dennis). He succeeded Mike Hammer at Stuff in May 2005.
