Health insurance is a hot political topic this campaign season, and with that in mind min’s b2b checked in with Andrew L. Goodenough , who was recently promoted to CEO of b2b heavy-hitter Summit Business Media, which covers the insurance, investment and professional services markets.

Goodenough, who was president of Summit Business Media when we last spoke with him, points to two major trends in the health insurance sector: the aging population and the progression of health care technology, which costs more to cover. “I don’t see nationalization of health care,” he says. “I think there will be expansion of tax benefits for consumers who use the medical savings accounts (flexible savings accounts and health savings accounts or FSAs and HSAs). They’re already in place.”

Read more about Goodenough in the August 4th issue of min's b2b.
