A picture is worth a thousand words...but the right portfolio is worth a lot more than that. Photography magazine American Photo has teamed up with Apple's new Aperture 2 software to find new emerging photographers. "Emerging Photographers” identifies new photographic talent (new, but still somewhat established) from around the world in a variety of fields, including photojournalism and fine-art, as well as commerial photographers. The winners will be given the opportunity to have a featured spread of their photography with a biography and headshot in the November/December 2008 issue of American Photo. 12 photographers will be chosen by the editors of American Photo, as well as a panel of judges from the creative, advertising and editorial communities.
