Ingrid Sischy Leaves Interview
From Steve Cohn: Sischy was editor-in-chief of Interview, the lifestyle magazine launched in the 1960s by the late Andy Warhol, since 1990. (A predecessor, Gail Love, moved to the Hearst-owned Connoisseur, which folded in 1992.) On Wednesday night (January 23), WWD.com reported her resignation, which was concurrent with Interview co-owner Sandra Brant selling 50% of Brant Publications (Interview/Art in America/The Magazine Antiques) to estranged husband Peter Brant. Sischy is highly regarded and contributes regularly to Vanity Fair, where in November 1998 she was cited as being among the "200 Most Influential Women in America." Her leaving Interview is the second huge void at BP. On January 8, The Magazine Antiques editor-in-chief Allison Ledes (since 1992) passed away from cancer.
