Joining the company just nine months ago (in February 2007), Colin Ungaro, president of magazines at F+W Publications, has left the company.  According to a source within the company, Ungaro "has left" (about a month ago), but is "still hanging around, to help with budgets."

After joining F+W after leaving Reed in the wake of the sale of Reed's new products division to Advantage Business Media, Ungaro announced ambitious plans to grow revenues at the company 50% over the next five years, and to have digital revenues make up 30-40% of total revenues.  According to our source, Ungaro became dissatisfied at F+W due to an arduous travel schedule.  F+W's offices are located disparately around the country and overseas: Boston, New York, Georga, Utah, Ohio, London, etc.

This move follows the hiring of John Lerner to run F+W's digital operations in June.  Lerner was reporting CEO David Steward.

Ungaro is married to Susan Ungaro, who was the EIC of Family Circle from 1994 to 2005 and has been the president of The James Beard Foundation for over a year now.
