Only three months after the announcement of the closure of the most recent iteration of Success Magazine, Success rises again. It must have been very good in its past life, since, this time around, Success is being reincarnated as a personal development magazine, as opposed to the business-focused magazine it has been in other lives. Success may have been a victim of the consumer business magazine ad page downturn that has seen ad page losses at BusinessWeek, Fortune, and Forbes, and that felled Business2.0. The new magazine will hit newsstands on March 4, 2008, and will be published bimonthly by its new owners, Video Plus, with an interim rate base of 100,000.

The magazine will be helmed by Darren Hardy, who will be the publisher and editorial director. Hardy will strive to build a magazine that will help business people develop themselves personally. In addition to having been president of TSTN.com (The Success Training Network), Hardy blogs about personal development on his blog, the pulse.
