Rich Magid Named Johnson Publishing Chief Financial Officer

Further indication of the expansion of Ebony/Jet parent Johnson Publishing Co. under the leadership of CEO (since July 2010) Desirée Rogers came with the Jan. 22 hire of chief financial officer Rich Magid.

The 32-year accounting/finance veteran is a past CFO of Stadium Capital Financing Group (a unit of Morgan Stanley),  Natural Golf Corp., and Sportvision Inc.

Says Rogers: "Rich brings a wealth of financial knowledge [to JPC] at a time when the company is expanding its presence, particularly in digital and licensing. He has an enormous amount of experience and has driven positive strategic change for companies across various industries. We are excited to have him join our team."
