Infographic: The Pinterest LifestyleWednesday, June 13, 2012 As any magazine executive knows by now, Pinterest has become one of the most powerful new drivers of social media traffic to a number of service  categories. But who are these people, anyway? Yes, Pinterest traffic has grown exponentially in the last year, but it still constitutes a relative niche in the digital cosmos. Ad agency Modea has gathered and illustrated lifestyle survey data from comScore to build a fun and informative infographic about the lifestyle preferences and other media use of the typical Pinterest users. For instance, the average Pinterest user is more mobile-savvy than most Internet users, with 22.5% having used an app in the last month and 25.02% who check their email daily on their cell phone. Pinterest users text more often than average (42.4% on a daily basis).And there is a very good reason why women’s service sites do so well with this visual sharing site. According to the comScore survey the top five most read magazines among Pinterest owners are Good Housekeeping (16.49%), Better Homes & Gardens, (14.87%), Family Circle (13.64%), Women’s Day (13.31%) and AARP (12.08%). Also not surprising, given the popularity of foodie posts on the site, 41% of users say they cook for fun and 29.4% engage in craftmaking.
