Former Rolling Stone Publisher Tim Castelli Is Heading Clear Channel's Digital Sales

Tim Castelli, who as Rolling Stone publisher in 2006-2007 oversaw the biweekly's 40th-anniversary celebration, was named to the new position of Clear Channel Media and Entertainment executive VP of digital sales on Feb. 29. Clear Channel's 850 radio stations serve 150 cities, and Castelli's mission is to "develop innovative advertising products and programs" through them and other platforms that include the iHeartRadio digital service.
Castelli had left RS in July 2007 for Google, where he eventually served as technology industry director before becoming AOL Eastern U.S. region senior VP of sales. Earlier in his career, his 13 years at Ziff-Davis Media were capped by his being publisher of PC magazine.
