Sail Magazine Launches New Site Design, Content, Partnerships
Wednesday, November 30, 2011
SailMagazine.com got more than a fresh coat of paint and new sails in its re-launch this week. The enthusiast title from Source Interlink is rebuilt from within, including major partnerships that help drive new content initiatives and functionality for users. The site integrates content from the magazine, Web-only materials as well as services directories, boat marketplaces and events calendars.
Chief among the additions in this re-launch is a strong video component led by the Sail Charter Channel. This collection of clips illustrates various area charted boating experiences, and it is powered by partner BVI Tourism Board. New episodes in the 12-chapter series will appear bi-weekly and include magazine associate editor Meredith Laitos. SailMagazine.com also runs a number of other video channels that review boats, demonstrate practical fixes and tips for managing your rigs and include interviews with boat enthusiasts.
The site re-design adds new search features that have been surfaced to the front page, allowing visitors to find products with greater precision anywhere on the site.
