Wonkblog Launches at WashPo
Monday, September 12, 2011
WashingtonPost.com is addressing the new emphasis on developing political and economic policies as Washington legislators deal with debt reduction, job creation and the next campaign. Wonkblog for policy wonks is a new site feature that spins off from Ezra Kelin’s newspaper column. Klein will lead the feature along with posts from Suzy Khimm (formerly of Mother Jones and The New Republic), Sarah Kliff, a Post reporter who recently joined from Politico, and Brad Plummer, formerly of New Republic. The blog willpost interviews, news items and analysis throughout the day. It has a sponsorship from America’s Natural Gas Alliance.
The new blog also sports Washington Post’s redsigned look and feel for blogs, which it is rolling out to other areas of the site. The redesign allows for more stories to be visible at the top of the blog chain and can parse stories not only by topic but also by day, week or month of posting.
