McLeod and Sarnoff Depart Dow Jones “He has helped lead us into new frontiers in the mobile space where we have leading apps with a great business model,” Larsen said in the memo. “He has also developed an excellent team that will help carry us through the ensuing transition phase.” McLeod joined Down Jones in 2006 after six years with Time Inc., where he helped develop Parenting.com and ran sales for SI.com. Also moving on is the president of Dow Jones Ventures, Ann Sarnoff. Sarnoff led the launch of WSJ’s executive conference business and the career site FINS. Sarnoff is taking a post at BBC Worldwide America. These moves leave two leadership holes at Dow Jones. Larsen told staff that in short order he will announce new leadership in Sarnoff’s positions. As for McLeod’s post, “discussions are under way on leadership for our digital operations going forward,” he said.
