Financial Times Drills New Subscription Niche Paid subscribers can access customization features that allow a company or user to personalize the content and communications features of the site. The paid tier also accesses the tools for sharing documents and creating enhanced views of stored materials. Financial Times did not disclose the cost of paid access, nor does the site reveal up front the price. Potential subscribers can submit forms on site to be contacted by the site’s sales team for more detailed pricing information. According to paidContent UK, this is the seventh paid niche site that FT has launched recently or is planning for later this year, including Money Media, MandateWire and China Confidential. The FT Group has reduced its reliance on advertising income from 74% of revenue in 2000 to 45% in 2009.
