Rance Crain, Howard Draft to Enter DMA Hall of Fame

Rance Crain (right), president of the Advertising Age-flagshipped Crain Communications and son of the late Ad Age founder (1930) G.D. Crain Jr., was selected July 7 for induction into the Direct Marketing Association Hall of Fame.  Also selected was Draftfcb chairman/CEO Howard Draft, who merged his since-1978 ad-agency namesake Draft Inc. with Foote, Cone & Belding in 2006.

Crain's personal credits include the 1970s launches of Crain's Chicago Business and Crain's New York Business, which are part of the 31-publication Crain Communications family. Separately, Crain owns the Golfweek-flagshipped Turnstile Publishing Company.

Corporate roots for both Crain and Draft were in Chicago. They will be inducted October 12 during the DMA conference in San Francisco.
