Stephen Gregory Barr Named 'OK!' Publisher
Wednesday, May 26, 2010
Stephen Gregory Barr, with past advertising/sales experience at Zinio/Viv magazine, InStyle, Esquire, National Geographic Traveler, Backpacker, and ElleGirl, filled the OK! publisher's vacacy with his May 25 hire by Northern & Shell group joint managing director Stan Myerson (OK! owner Richard Desmond's pointperson).
Barr succeeded Lori Burgess, who resigned on April 26 to become The Hollywood Reporter publisher. Burgess now is in tandem with Janice Min (ex-Us Weekly), who was named THR editorial director on May 26.
At OK!, Barr is joining associate publisher Mary Beth Wright (ex-FamilyFun), whom Myerson promoted from Eastern sales director after Burgess' departure.
