BREAKING NEWS & VIEWS
Martha Moves TV Show to Hallmark Channel NBC Universal owned-and-operated stations and affiliates after the initial run on CBS. Martha Stewart Living, the program's original name, came from the magazine that Stewart launched in 1990.The deal with Hallmark will give Stewart an hourlong show (talk/cooking/decorating, etc.) at 10 a.m. (Eastern), followed by 1½ hours of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia-produced programming that is currently in the developmental stage. Stewart's move to cable-only will come a year ahead of Oprah Winfrey, who will end her syndicated talk show on its 25th anniversary in September 2011 and switch to her yet-to-launch Oprah Winfrey Network and to Oxygen Network, which she has a stake in. Winfrey's Hearst-partnered O magazine will celebrate its 10th anniversary in May 2010. If you have breaking news to share please contact Steve Smith at ssmith@accessintel.com COMMENTS
